IT Security Awareness Workshop

Computer security breaches resulting in tremendous losses to companies and even governments have been making startling news headlines during the recent past. This is mainly due to the lack of awareness among the computer users. The only way to address this global issue is to encourage the security mindedness among computer users in general and corporate IT professionals in particular.

IT Security Awareness workshop for Microsoft EA customers was held at the Tech One Global Learning Center today. Mr. Chathura Chinthaka Abeydeera, a well qualified and highly experienced IT Security Expert, conducted the workshop.

Chathura is a graduate from the Manipal University with a Masters Degree in Information Technology with more than 8 years of experience in IT security. He has such qualifications as Certified Ethical Hacker, Licensed Penetration Tester, Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator and EC Council Certified Security Analyst under his belt among many other credentials. He is also a Certified EC-Council Instructor and a Microsoft Certified Trainer.

There were about twenty participants from various industry segments, who showed a keen interest in improving their IT security awareness and their feedback on the learning session has been very satisfactory.
